Staffa House, is where you will find peaceful, spacious guest areas where you can enjoy the views, relax after a busy day out and plan your next trip. We aim to make you feel at home – whether that’s by welcoming you with tea and cake, or drying your wet clothes on a rainy day – we are keen to make you as comfortable as possible during your stay with us.
Free Wifi is available throughout the house and there is plenty of space outside for cars and cycles.
Our comfortable bedrooms include high quality beds and bedding, bedside tables and wicker chairs. All four bedrooms (two double, one twin, one family) are en-suite with tea/coffee making facilities.
Lunga is a double bedroom with views of Torr Mor and the Sound of Iona towards the distant peak of the Dutchman’s Cap.
Iona, a family room with a double and a single bed, has our largest bathroom including a bath and separate shower cubicle. The bedroom windows provide an excellent view of the Island from which it is named. Many guests sit for a while and watch the ferry come and go.
Erraid, our second double bedroom, looks over the garden to the back of the house where you may catch a glimpse of Chris working in the garden. Solo travellers particularly favour this room as it has a cosy feel with a sunny aspect facing south and catching the sun all day.
Back on the ground floor, Eorsa has twin single beds and views towards Torr Mor and the Sound of Iona. Double quilts mean that our single beds are nice and cosy, while the power shower in the en-suite bathroom will get you up and about in the morning.
We like our rooms to be kept clean and tidy so nip in each day to make sure that everything is in good order for you. We change towels every three days and bed linen once a week in line with our green policy.
We will help you dry out on wet weather days, and our boot room comes complete with newspapers to stuff wet shoes and old towels to take the mud off...
We don’t offer a full laundry service, although we are sympathetic to those who have had an unexpected experience with a bog!
Our dining room is set in a lovely conservatory which has views looking west to the Sound of Iona (great for sunsets) and east to Ben More (great for sun-rises). Breakfast and evening meals are served here at a communal table which can expand to take our full complement of 9 guests. A small decked area outside the patio doors is the perfect place to sit for a while in the summer.
Our guest lounge has comfortable chairs and a music centre. A bookcase contains local information and guide books, maps and history books to help you plan your days on the Ross of Mull and Iona. The TV, linked to the UK FreeSat service, completes the guest room although as one guest said "who comes to Mull to watch the TV!"
