Welcome to Staffa House

Our beautiful Hebridean home with comfortable guest rooms and excellent food

2021 and Covid 19

Staffa House will be open in 2021 as soon as the Scottish Government allows us.  We look forward to providing our usual warm welcome and excellent service.  We know that not everything will be the same as before and will send our Covid Security information out with every booking.  It is based on the usual rules of physical distancing, wearing a face-mask and regular hand washing or sanitisation and aims to reassure our guests that a stay here is safe.

Situated on the Ross of Mull in Fionnphort, Staffa House Bed and Breakfast is only a 5 minute walk from the ferry to Iona.  We are ideally placed for visiting the Isles of Iona and Staffa.  Learning about the role of St Columba and Christianity in Scotland's medieval and modern history or see the puffins, shags and skua on Staffa or on the Treshnish Isles with their large seabird colonies.  Or quietly take some time for the wildlife to arrive; on the coast you'll find otters, golden eagles, seals, dolphins and whales can all suddenly appear.

Our 4 spacious guest bedrooms are all en-suite, individually and tastefully decorated and simply furnished.  Our emphasis is on providing guests with a good nights' sleep in a relaxed environment.  Every room has tea/coffee making facilities, free wi-fi and complimentary toiletries.  Your breakfast (and the occasional dinner) will be served in our conservatory dining room at our large, communal table.  Drawing on a network of local producers, our menu reflects our commitment to the produce of Mull, Iona and Argyll.  You will be spoilt for choice while enjoying our stunning view of the Sound of Iona.

Guests have a private lounge where there is a wide range of guides, maps and books on Iona, Mull and Scotland to help plan your visit as well as access to a fridge, TV and music centre.  Feel free to wander in the garden or watch the sun-set over Iona, with a glass of wine in hand, from our decked area.
